Taverna Lazaro

Very good. We ordered meat, grilled fish, meat bolls, musaka, salads, büreki and we ate everything down to the last crumb. Wonderful food, very attentive service and really beautiful surroundings.

The staff is very friendly. I left my sunglasses on the seat at dinner; the next morning, I stopped by, and the host remembered me and said he had my sunglasses. The food was flavorful, and I will come back for more meals. The restaurant is cozy and relaxing South indoor and outdoor seating. If you're traveling through Berat, I recommend having dinner here then have a walk through the Berat Castle, which is very close.

The owner Is super friendly and knows many languages so you can comunicate with esse. The food Is all local and cooked very well. Super recomended

Had a lovely lunch there with my family. Although we were a bit sceptical about the place as it was in a very touristic spot, the owner was very welcoming. Had 2 different types of homemade raki, picked vegetables and some marmelade on the house. Expected to to be overcharged. We were not! Had an amazing time there.

The tavern is located a hundred meters from the main entrance of Belgrade Castle and has its own parking lot for at least 5-6 cars. We were greeted personally by Lazaro and carefully accommodated. The food he served us was prepared by him personally, and the products were either his own production or from local producers. He also told us how he personally took care of the interior, as it became clear in the conversation that he is also an painter.

It is a great place to visit. Thus far 5 days in the Albanian road trip it was by far the best place we ate at. So much so that we returned for Breakfast... which was extraordinary, and they opened early just for us . At first we were caught of guard by the lack of menu ,but as soon as you trust the very friendly owner he will tell you what he has, what is good and make you have a great time. The prices are more than fair in view of what you get The food delicious, we ate more then we planned to, the portions are generous ant the host is very welcoming .Special mentions: the qoftes ! the Black Rakia ! and the Breakfast home made real Jam, butter and Milk. And the home made fries.
